Madonna Louise Ciccone Ritchie was born on August 16, 1958 in Bay City,
Michigan. she moved to New York in the late 1970s with $35 in her
pocket. "..it was the bravest thing i have ever done"
Her debut album Like A Virgin was released in 1982 with the track
"Everybody".
Madonna has made several movies in various
genres including Who's That Girl in 1987, a semi autobiographical piece in which she sang the title track.
She played the part of the heroine Evita in the big screen adaptation of the theatrical classic and got her kit off for Willem Dafoe
and every other male or lesbian in the world in the mostly criticised soft porn thriller "Body of Evidence".
Her greatest movie outing may have been the self portraying rocumentary "In Bed with Madonna" following her life
on tour and at home. Undoubtedly Madonna has had less success in the movies than with the iconic image created through her pop career.
